Australian Southern Seafood { ASSG } processes and markets seafood products having it's own registered factory in Port Lincoln. Stringent standards of hygiene and quality control are maintained in the factory and inspection is carried out prior to export to ensure the product meets the specifications of the Australian Governments' Department of Primary Industries AQIS. The core product is Wild Caught Abalone, both Greenlip (Haliotis Laevigata) and Blacklip (Haliotis ruber). The abalone fishery is extremely well managed and operates on a quota system for each license holder, thereby avoiding over-exploitation of the resource. The abalone is processed to meet specific customer requirements. Australian Southern Seafood also processes and markets the aquaculture Abalone and Pacific Oyster Spat for the group. All products are marketed under the Golden Phoenix ® brand. With no quota limitations on aqua cultured abalone, market supply is set to outstrip that of wild caught abalone in the future. As well as also supplying Abalone Shell, ASSG is in a position to assist buyers to source other seafood products. Our factory has been designed to provide versatility for processing of various products.
