Pacific Oysters
Pacific Oysters (Crassostrea gigas), are farmed in South Australia in six areas. Due to the pristine water conditions, the succulent oysters are considered to be the best in Australia. The oysters are available for a limited season from March to December.
Export of oysters is strictly governed by the Department of Primary Industries. All areas where oysters are grown are rigidly monitored for water quality.
Pacific oysters are offered as:-
- Live
- Chilled
- Frozen Whole
- Frozen ½ Shell
- Frozen Meat
The oysters are packaged in poly liners inside polystyrene eskies.
